Justice has been, and will  hopefully continue to be, served.<br /><br /><br /><br />BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD (June 27)<br /><br /><br /><br />Director  Benh Zeitlin's fantastical, apocalyptic, coming-of-age survival tale  follows six-year-old Hushpuppy (Quvenzhané Wallis) on her journey to  find her lost mother in the wake of her father's disintegrating health -  and a series of environmental changes that unleash mythical beasts  called the aurochs.<br /><br /><br /><br />The film nabbed the Grand Jury Prize and  Excellence in Cinematography awards in the U.S. dramatic competition  this year at Sundance, as well as the Camera d'Or Prize at Cannes.<br /><br /><br /><br />These  top prizes are all the more impressive as the film - inspired by  Hurricane Katrina victims who refused to leave their homes - stars an  unknown young actress (Wallis) and was directed by a first-time  filmmaker (Zeintlin) under fiercely real and difficult conditions.<br /><br /><br /><br />TAKE THIS WALTZ (June 29)<br /><br /><br /><br />Michelle  Williams follows her Oscar-nominated turn as Marilyn Monroe with the  charming Sarah Polley-directed tale of a woman caught in a love  triangle.<br /><br /><br /><br />Williams plays Margot, who must choose between two  sweet, loving men: husband Lou (funnyman Seth Rogen) and mystery  man-with-an-edge Daniel (eye candy Luke Kirby).<br /><br /><br /><br />The choice is  made all the more difficult as Lou loves Margot unconditionally but  feels both too comfortable and unfulfilled. So Smith hires McConaughey's Killer Joe Cooper to finish  off his mother in order to collect her life insurance.<br /><br /><br /><br />Naturally,  all hell breaks loose: Killer Joe preys upon Smith's sister Dottie  (Juno Temple) and catalyzes the destruction of the family.<br /><br /><br /><br />This is not a guy to be messed with.<br /><br /><br /><br />RUBY SPARKS (7/25)<br /><br /><br /><br />From  the creators of the 2006 surprise hit "Little Miss Sunshine" comes an  eccentric rom-com about a writer with an incredibly active imagination.<br /><br /><br /><br />Calvin  (the always interesting Paul Dano), a novelist struggling with writer's  block, makes a breakthrough with his Zooey Deschanel-esque fictional  character, Ruby Sparks (screenwriter Zoe Kazan). This is how we will grow as a nation, stated an Inter <br />Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.<br /><br />Brigadier  Dr. <br />Javaid Iqbal, the Head of Mechatronics Department and Chief Organizer of<br /> the contest, informed that more than 170 teams from different <br />Engineering Universities, Colleges and Institutes from all over the <br />country registered for the qualifying round. <br /><br />Major General Obaid<br /> Bin Zakria, HI(M), Commandant College of Electrical & Mechanical <br />Engineering in his address welcomed everyone to the National Engineering<br /> Robotics Contest 2012, he appreciated how the number of participants <br />had grown over the years and the standard of the competition has risen. <br /><br />At<br /> the end of the ceremony the Chief Guest Dr. Muhammad Akram Sheikh (HI),<br /> gave away the prizes to the winning teams of “National Engineering <br />Robotic Contest 2012” (NERC).<br /><br />In his address the Honorable Chief <br />Guest, Dr. Muhammad Akram Sheikh while complimenting the efforts taken <br />up so vigorously by NUST College of E&ME called “National <br />Engineering Robotics Contest” a one of a kind platform providing the <br />engineering students of Pakistan with an opportunity to get the complete<br /> engineering experience. <br /><br />He said that “Seeing such a huge <br />turnout and the students working with such dedication on one of the most<br /> sophisticated field engineering has to offer, I can see the potential <br />of our future engineers”.  <br /><br />While acknowledging the importance of<br /> Mechatronics engineering he commented “Since every machine these days <br />is a blend of several technologies, Mechatronics Engineering as a new <br />discipline has found widespread acceptance in the world, including a <br />large number of developing countries”.</div>

He also promised to address the issues plaguing <br />Balochistan and promised “peaceful co-existence” with neighbours India <br />and Afghanistan.<br /><br />A new federal cabinet was also sworn in at the Presidency, where 27 <br />new federal ministers and 11 new ministers for state took oath.<br /><br />President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Ashraf on his success and <br />said ” Ashraf’s election as PM is an indication of the nation’s <br />confidence in democracy.”<br /><br />The third candidate, Jamiat-ul-Ulema Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana <br />Fazlur Rehman, withdrew his candidacy and decided to remain impartial in<br /> the election process by not casting his vote.<br /><br />Earlier today, negotiations between the PML-N and the JUI-F over the nomination of a new prime minister ended futile.<br /><br />The PML-N delegation held a meeting with the JUI-F chief at his <br />residence in a bid to persuading him into supporting the PML-N’s <br />candidate Sardar Mehtab Abbasi for the premiership.<br /><br />Fazl had said: “considering the political situation of the country, <br />he wanted that both the opposition and the government should have an <br />agreement on the candidate for the premier’s office.”<br /><br />“That is why I filed my nomination papers,” he added.<br /><br />Following the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the PPP’s Yousuf Raza <br />Gilani as premier and the issuance of arrest warrants for their first <br />nominee Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Raja Pervez Ashraf had emerged as the main<br /> coalition’s preferred candidate as prime minister — a controversial <br />choice, many say.<br /><br />Ashraf is steeped in controversy. Currently fighting a corruption <br />case from his tenure as water and power minister, he has also been <br />blamed for much of the government’s inability to resolve a disastrous <br />energy crisis.<br /><br />Ashraf may also come under immediate pressure from the Supreme Court <br />to write to Swiss authorities, asking them to reopen corruption <br />investigations into President Asif Ali Zardari – refusal for which saw <br />Gilani convicted of contempt.<br /><br />Ashraf had said his focus was the power crisis, which he promised to <br />resolve despite being widely criticised for incompetence while at the <br />power ministry from March 2008 to February 2011.<br /><br />“Our first priority will be to resolve the power crisis,” he said. “I hope soon we will find a solution,” he added.<br /><br />Before the parliamentary session, the PPP and its coalition partners held a meeting.<br /><br />After the meeting PPP’s Syed Khurshid Shah had confirmed Ashraf’s <br />nomination, he conceded that the government was heading towards an <br />election. Its five-year mandate expires in early 2013.<br /><br />“If we have committed some mistakes or did not fulfill our manifesto,<br /> then the decision should be left to the people of Pakistan,” he had <br />said.
